Taleyah is a special sort of dragon. While many of her kin hunt prey or monsters, she has turned her sights to something more dangerous and otherwordly - The Shade. Of course there are folks who say that Shade is no longer a threat to the dragonkind but Taleyah knows better. She has worked as a warrior before and during her life in the Sunbeam Ruins, the Hewn City especially was riddled with blackness so dark it would have made the darkest night seem pale. She already had believed she could put those days to the rest, but again the song of swords and the oath of paladins has called her to hunt. But anyone who thinks Taleyah to be a broody and gloomy sort, is gravely mistaken. She is bright and loud, her mouth easily bending words enough for them consideren all-new vulgarities. She likes a good fight with other beings than Shade too and as a result has been thrown out from taverns more than couple of times. She doesn't let it slow her down tough. Her views on her work are more serious, she is sure to purge out every bit of Shade she may find. She is not so much about healing those touched by the Shade than she is about killing them off for good. Once shadetouched, always shadetouched. She's a traveler and travelers might sometimes gain rumours to accompany them. Taleyah's rumour is that besides being a former paladin, she belonged to a small clan once, in the Windswept Plateau. "The Golden Blade" they called her then, for she was an excellent warrior. But tragedy stuck and clan fell, was it to Shade or something else, nobody knows for sure. And now she travels the land making it a little brighter with her magic and swords. When asked about truth of these events, she doesn't give you an answer of course. Just a solemn smile, a sad one perhaps. |
