Biography
(Wendigo Hunter) aaaaa (Kill Count: | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | )
|
Contracted by the Coterie to help deal with their Wendigo problems, he works with the witch coven to track down Wendigos. His innate elemental abilities help him more than his other talents so far, but with each takedown, he becomes stronger. Reuniting with his sister was a coincidence, but a welcome one at that. They're each other's best friends. Deep in the woods one day, examining the remains of an old broken down lair, he just barely caught a glimpse of something watching him. A silhouette, watching him from behind the thickest trees. Someday, he'll call out to it. The spiral radiates a heat that might burn a hole into the floor of the inn if he managed to sit still for long enough. He was here to see his sister, but popped in and got a lecture instead. "Artifacts, eh? Well I know of one... It's said that the wendigos which live up in their nest in the Boreal Wood originated from an exiled family of wealthy dragons, who fled to here in disgrace. After several harsh winters, they turned on their fellow dragons but became feral monsters instead of dying to a brain eating sickness. One might wonder what prevented them from death presumably being long past their time now, but I know well- they travel in a pack, clustered around the largest one in the center. She bares a shimmering pendant, but I have never seen it up close."
Imperial Wendigos:
"To kill a wendigo, one must impale them with silver or expose the monster to extreme levels of heat. Fire dragons are usually hired to hunt down and dispose of a wendigo when discovered. A myth surrounds the wendigo though, it is said if one fears a wendigo has drawn too close to their home you should lay out cabbages in a clearing or valley outside the borderline of the territory one is concerned about. This is said to draw them in and fend off their hunger, if only for a little bit longer." Mirror Wendigos: "Unstoppable, they breed amongst themselves to replace any fallen in battle. They do not form horns or antlers, instead their teeth and claws gnarl, become serrated, and grow longer and longer if not used constantly. In each pack there appears to be a Queen or King, the clan leader who calls the shots and still retains some of their complicated thought processes and decision making abilities beyond the need to feed. They can only be vanquished with incredibly hot flames- no silver will stop this swarm." Nocturne Wendigos: They begin as simple Nocturnes, until the blood of the undead call to them. It is unknown how the transformation affects them after that. They also exhibit the endless hunger of the other species, but it’s less for the taste of flesh and more for the taste of blood. This species can also be vanquished with silver and heat.
