Biography
Name: Orion
Mate: Rosalina
The Stargazer
Orion always had a thing for the night sky, and not just because of his name. Wanting to find his place among the stars, he left his clan and traveled far and wide, learning as much as he possibly could. By the time he reached Xion's merry band, he'd become an astronomer and scholar in his own right.
Xion, more than curious about what lay above them, invited Orion to stay with the clan, and, after much persuading, he caved. She'd taken care of him, feeding the intrepid scholar when he'd been hungry, listened to his tales when he couldn't help but blabber, and gave him a place to stay when he had none. To repay her, he teaches the clan about the night sky, helping them understand the world above.
During the day, Orion is a caretaker and dreamer, often lost in his own thoughts rather than his duties. At night, if he's not settled outside with his telescope, he's part of the watch party... Though he often forgets to join them- Look, a meteor!
During a late night with the watch party, spacy Orion caught himself far from his companions. While looking to the stars to help him plot his path back to Daybreak's lair, he came to notice the brilliant rose-colored lady imperial humming atop a rock near him. Captivated by her song, he spent most of the night talking with her, and only returned to the lair at dawn's first light. Almost every night for two weeks after, he 'lost' himself on sheer purpose and consistently found himself once again in Rosalina's company, sharing stories and tales of not only their lives, but the stars above. It soon became known to him Rosalina had no home, and sought none, either, enjoying her freedom.
But alas, she soon slipped away into the darkness, leaving the star-struck Orion alone and saddened. For days he sulked, focusing little on anything not starry or in the sky. So upset was he that when Xion came to him, asking him to keep an eye on their new clan member, he very nearly missed those beautiful rose colors once again.
His Rose had come to him!
While they were quickly reminded she didn't wish to be tied down to a clan, he soon took her in, quite literally, and mated with his conversation partner. He's still totally lost in his first love, the skies and stars, but Rosalina alone keeps him grounded and he loves her just as much.
Since joining the clan, he's become close to many of his clan mates, Despite his almost ditzy nature and ability to get distracted the moment he sees a star, he holds Mochizuki and Shannon as close friends, never failing to find a stimulating conversation with them. He considers Ashlyn and Alun as friends and students, and has yet to find a dragon he doesn't like.
