Kirea was born in the clan with some trepidation, as the last Fire mage had turned out to be a destructive force in the clan. However, Kirea turned out quite differently from her predecessor. She had none of the stereotypical volatile nature associated with Fire dragons, but was more peaceful and calm than any dragons in the clan. Once she was old enough, she began her training. She took it very seriously and treats Fire magic as a religious practice.

She was drawn to the supposedly cursed pendant and found that it could be molded to serve as a force of good. Within it was a power that could serve as a powerful cleanser of evil. As her powers became more honed, she found that she could control entire forest fires and create flames so hot they could burn bones to ashes. She harnessed the power for good, helping to keep the forest healthy with controlled burns and sending Imperials to a peaceful rest after death. She hopes one day to learn how to banish the Shade with her Cleansing Flame, but admits perhaps she will never be powerful enough.

Her mate Nalleo acts as the guard to her meditation chamber, where she spends her free time. It allows her some time free of worrying about those who may steal the pendant or enemies who may try to harm her. So far she has refused to teach anyone other than her own children how to use the cleansing fire, which has evoked jealousy and suspicion in some.
