The gnarled, twisting shapes of the Foxfire Bramble are sinister against the moonlight, but that wasn’t an obstacle for a dragon, who nearly was a moonlight itself. Through the darkness she shined like a pure gem as the wind was dispersing crystal feathers on her wings.
But the shadow never repelled her and she soon fell in love with the shadow. She was fascinated by the glitters she made in the darkness thought she could never hide fully in the shadows. But being a tricksters, as all shadows dragons are, she could have come with better ideas than others, developing her flair for hiding. Skydancer started to challenge other dragons for games, games she was always winning, as her whole life she was learning how to be faster, smarter and better than the others.
The problem was, that being better, she could no longer find a fine opponent for her in her lair. It wasn’t long that she decided to move through the shadow, to find a worthy opponent for her so she could entertain herself and triumph once more. She didn’t know that she changed her fate the day her eyes met eyes of humans.
-You want to play a game? – dragon asked, moving her tale gracefully –If I win, you will give one thing from your treasures that I will chose.
-And if I win? – a calm voice asked. If dragons were able to smile, you would say that particular one smiled in a pernicious way.
-That is not going to happen. But if, I will stay with you as long as you want.
