Guards and Warriors are separate classes. Guards are a specialized fighters that protect the Clan. Warriors scout the surrounding area and fight dangers they meet in the territory. When the danger manages to defeat the Warriors and comes up to the front entrance of the Clan; that is when the Guard steps in. They are the last line of defense. Cesara was lucky to get a position as a Guard, and over the months she worked her way up until she was the leader of the Guards. She now has a position on the Council.

While in battle, Cesara is ruthless and cunning, often tricking her enemy and using her quick reflexes to dodge attacks while issuing a crippling blow of her own. Her back claws are used to tear through muscle and sometimes bone of an attacker, though she holds back on her power in order to keep from killing those she fights. She only kills when necessary.

While training recruits, she mercilessly puts the dragons through drill after drill. Many who first wanted to become a guard often drops out, becoming a Warrior instead. Those who do make it through respect Cesara for the leader she is.

She met her mate Braithe while as a recruit for the Guard. The Coatl had been gathering food, and she had stumbled on him. After a terse conversation, she went back to her training, and much to her dismay the Coatl followed her. No matter what she did, he followed her. Eventually she began to see him less as a nuisance and more as a compatible fighting partner. Then, quite shocking on her part, she fell in love with him.

She and Braithe had one clutch of eggs already, five in all. One hatchling died soon after hatching from its egg, but the rest survived. One went to another Clan, having found his true love, while the others left to join the Deities in their fight against evil.

Both dragons serve Queen Eythe and King Armen loyally, each performing their jobs to the best of their abilities.
