A wanderer from his homeland of the Windswept Plateau, he has spent much of his life honing his senses as well as his element. Indeed, one can see the energy he has harnessed ripple harmlessly across his body. Reason being is that Hyann is blind and relies on his senses and element to 'see' the world the best he can. He can make out shapes in his mind using the wind, but this isn't something he can always use. Rainstorms with little to no wind cause him grief as it makes it very difficult for him to use his element and he can even be overwhelmed by the noise from the rain. Or thunder, if he's in a thunderstorm. Despite doing quite a lot of training for the times where that can happen, it's still quite tough on him. Not impossible, just very difficult. He'd need support or rely on evading his foe in times like that. Hyann is quite swift and graceful with his sword and one could forget for a while that he's using his senses to their peak and his element to accomplish that. Labradorite has frequently compared Hyann's skill with that of a dancer and will sometimes be seen watching him in awe. Joseff certainly had no problems letting him into the Clan as he'd be a valuable defender. There were some problems with a few members-Caide wasn't too certain of Hyann's ability until he was swiftly defeated by him. Pulse feels threatened by Hyann, since he's found ways to help himself with his disability and Pulse hasn't found a way to better control his dark impulses. Carwyn's still uncertain about Hyann, but thinks she'll get over it. Hematite hates Hyann (and makes sure he knows it) and his friend Lehine usually makes fun of Hyann and his disability. Agate was intrigued by Hyann's skill and wanted to learn from him his swordplay style. Hyann readily accepted to tutoring her and she certainly picked up on it quite well. She even beat her cousin Cerussite using it! The two have become close and are often together on patrols. He's picked up a bit on Cerussite's body language, but that has been quite difficult.
