Biography
She was very confused. One minute, like all of the other minutes, it was dark. The dark surrounded her, pressing on her and holding her down. Then, the dark was being scraped away, and she felt light for the first time. It was warm. Much warmer than the dark. It shone gently, casting a pale orange shadow behind her. Then there were others. Pushing, and touching. She didn't like that. She told them to stop, but nothing came out. Nothing ever comes out. Eventually, they left her alone, leaving her to roam where she pleased. But she was so very confused. Where was this place? Who where these others? And most importantly, where was the palace? Over time, she figured it out. What she once knew was gone, reduced to rubble. There was something, tickling the back of her memory, frail as mist. An explosion, a skydancer, and a name. Once she figured out the name, it all came back. The evil, the storm, hiding, running, a necklace, then dark. She should have seen it coming, but she was blinded by her words, her horrible, twisting words. The wound around her like a snare of thorny roses, trapping her. Oh, she should have fought. To protect her kingdom, her family. But what did she do? Ran to the court wizard and had him hide her. But the enchantress still came. She struck, sending cracks of black racing across her body. The rest is lost in the mist. But something remains, blazing bright in her mind with the fire of thousands of years of fury. Persiana, the bane of her lost kingdom. |

[nextcol] [/columns]Scraaaaaaaape. The skydancer looked around, then continued his digging, his thoughts bent on the prospect of riches. Scraaaaaaaaape. This time it sounded closer, and the skydancer started to get a little nervous. “I’m not scared, but I'd better get me dagger out, justincase” The skydancer drew out his rusty dagger, trembling. Night had fallen, blanketing everything in a suffocating cloak of darkness. Something thudded on the ground behind him, he whirled around, finding nothing. “I-I ain’t scared o’ ya” he said, his voice wavering. A shadow, out of the corner of his vision. Moving faster, faster than any living thing should be able to. He ran, towards the exit, but tripped on the pile of dirt. The skydancer froze, motionless in fear. The shadow leaned over him, he squeezed his eyes shut, shaking all the while. He didn't dare open his eyes, not until the sun crept over the ruins, chasing the shadows away.
He opened his eyes, wondering if it had all just been a dream. Nevertheless, he decided to dig quickly today, not whistling, not talking, just digging. His shovel hit something with a mighty clink. The skydancer crowed with delight and quickly unearthed the figure. It was a statue of a skydancer. But, to his dismay, it looked like it had been broken as some point. Sharp black lines ran across the entire thing, but when he tapped it, it was sound. The lazy afternoon light shone through it, casting a golden shadow on the ground behind him. He cursed, the threw it back in the ditch, after all, no one wanted a broken statue.
