Not all who came to Dragonhome did so by choice. Akinu and Aurica, the child's parents, fled to the desert wastes to hide from poachers, particularly Beastclans. Not strong enough to defend themselves, they remained hidden in the deserts. From there, they bore children, praying they would be strong enough to fight for their freedom.

It was impossible to keep Zlato from fidgeting too much as a hatchling. Always giggling and smiling, and always with something in her claws, the wild child would only ever be tame if she had a project to work on. Rocks and pebbles became beautiful artistic murals, each rock specifically sorted and arranged by size and color. Although she lost interest as soon as she completed these pieces, it was a surprise to see her crafts actually hold stunning quality.

Zlato is an artist in an interesting way. She projects herself in her work, though talking to her you would've never known she was so crafty. Smiling and laughing aside, her words are bland and boring, and she's usually distracted doing other things. Friends do not concern her.
