Biography
Moonflight is a good leader, fair and strong and kind. Her clan both loves and respects her in equal measure, knowing that she will always do what is best for them. It's difficult, sometimes, but she does the best she can. A leader needs to be able to make hard decisions, and adapt to situations where there might not be any good choices. She may be small, but she is tough, and every dragon in her clan knows it.
However, Moonflight wasn't always this way. When she was younger, she was quite shy and timid. It wasn't unusual for her to hide away in some dark corner whenever she was scared or nervous, which happened often. It wasn't until she struck out on her own to learn to be independent that she began to truly grow into herself. As a loner, she had to be confident and strong and able to stand her ground without faltering. She learned to fight and do battle and defend her own territory, without depending on the help of others. She became strong, carving out her own little piece of the woods and holding it.
It wasn't until a few years later that Moonflight met Solanum, a loner just like her. She offered him shelter for an indefinite amount of time when he told her that he had nowhere else to go and was tired of wandering. Soon, though, days turned into weeks into months, and the pair fell in love. Yes, he was klutzy and eccentric and not all that visually appealing, but she had never been that shallow. She loved his intelligent mind and kind-hearted generosity, his clever ideas and his genuine desire to make her happy. Solanum had wandered into her life and simply never left.
Not long after Moonflight and Solanum became mates, they took in more loners who were looking for homes. Some of them came and left within a week or a month, but others settled down and chose to stay. First was a trio, an odd combination of Skydancer and Nocturne and Imperial. Then came others, in groups and pairs and individual dragons. Both of the Faes welcomed them all in with open wings, leading their mismatched clan of all shapes and sizes to quickly grow into what it is today.
They may not be the strongest clan, not the biggest or the wealthiest or the most famous, but they are family by choice if not by blood. Patchwork and pieced together and sometimes dysfunctional, yes, but they are family. They are tight-knit and protective and strong enough to survive and even thrive, and that is enough for them.
Moonflight wouldn't settle for anything less.
