Once, there was a Fae Dragon who wanted to make a name for herself.
Not in the usual way, you could say...

Growing up with only her parents in the Ashfall Waste, Starlight dreamed and dreamed of one day making a clan of her own—a family to keep with her, and something to fight for. Even in the darkest of her days alone—when her parents were off doing Flamecaller knows what—the idea of having a clan to call her own kept her hoping.

And so, when Starlight met Limestone...all of her hopes and dreams were answered. She finally had someone worth fighting for. Together, they created a clan—they rose from the ashes like a phoenix, and became something so great that Starlight could never have regretted even a single moment of their creation.

But...

Some things aren't meant to last. Not truly.

The day that Limestone died was the worst day that Starlight had ever had to experience. It didn't feel real—and in some ways, even now, it still doesn't. He was her soulmate. The embers needed to ignite the very best in her.
Starlight grieves Limestone, and it seems like she always will. She carries on in his memory, and she keeps the clan running with everything she has.

It's a shame, though; you never realize what your home is until it's gone from your grasp.
