Though every dragon who enters the clan must survive the Ravaging, seldom do they do it alone. All dragons of the waste know the dangers of solitude and often band together to alleviate each others' burdens.

Platon was born under the blessings of the new year. He is a token of good luck and health. Despite the gems that grow on his hide, he never actually contracted the Ravaging. Because of his immunity and the healing aura he exudes, it falls to Platon to care for the clan initiates. He helps new dragons cope with their illness and come to terms with their new patterns, should they emerge. Platon is well known among the clan, as he was one of the first to arrive, and also because helped nursed each member back to health.

Platon was sent to Shira from Nadja as a token of peace and friendship. He misses his family and friends back on the Ice field, but he knows what a crucial job he has. Platon has a strong sense of duty and would never leave the wastes. Besides, he's made himself a home and the Rykin dragons are as much his family as Huo and Feng.
