A dedicated student of the arcane arts, Mirzam has a deep and abiding love of her fellow dragon and platonic lifemate, Ariadne. In an effort to support Ariadne's efforts to develop a code of Honor for combat using bladed weaponry, she has thrown herself ever more seriously into her studies. Her natural affinity for transformative magicks is somewhat dangerous in situations when she is startled-- an unexpectedly loud noise might make her accidentally turn herself, or someone (or something!) else into a butterfly or a slime scourge-- but she is developing better control, with practice and time. Eventually, she hopes to become a resource to the Clan, able to scribe her transformative magicks upon scrolls for use by those who may wish to alter their shape to that of another breed.

In addition to her innate talents with the Plaguemother's magic of mutation and transformation, Mirzam has dedicated herself to the art of levitation magicks, and dream-reading. Many dragons within the clan have come to her for analysis of dreams which they feel are prophetic or foreboding, so that they may appropriately prepare for dangers to come. Achernar, in particular, seems to trust Mirzam's knowledge implicitly, and has been known to come to her for counsel when making a judgement about internal clan disputes.
