Biography
Aria doesn't have many memories of her youth, but she doesn't really mind either, for her life never truly began until she came across him. His name was Cormac, a quiet yet kind Guardian making his way from the Zephyr Steppes towards something greater. He was still searching for his charge in life; having entered the world without parents or clanmates, he had little sense of what exactly he was looking for. Aria was alone too, and didn't have much to her name, save for a diamond ring and a jar of vapors she had picked up along her travels. The vapors, she told him, were supposed to rise from the jar to form a Steam Gyre. At least, that's what the merchant that sold it to her claimed. "That sounds like an outright scam. Shady business at its finest."
Still she insisted: soon she would finally have a companion.
He didn't believe a word of it, but there was something about her optimism that impressed him enough to say, "Well, until that happens, I'll wait with you."
It wasn't an offer, seeing as offers could be turned down, and he didn't plan on leaving the innocent Fae he was almost certain was his new purpose to protect. And so they waited, and waited some more. Phases of the moon went by. Acquaintances grew to be friends which eventually became something blurrier, and they found themselves enraptured more in each other than in the jar that once held all of their (or mostly Aria's) attention.
It was soon apparent that they were in love, and it didn't take long for Aria and Cormac to produce their first nest. In the weeks that followed, the pair found themselves raising a total of four healthy hatchlings, a rambunctious quartet. Despite being a handful for the inexperienced couple, they were their parents' pride and joy. Time passed by quickly then, and it wasn't long before each of their young took off in a quest for their own destinies. Ultimately, they would all find fulfillment in serving various deities in the ongoing fight for Dominance.
Life slowed down significantly after they left.
For a good while, it was just the two of them traveling once more–the ashes never did rise to form a Gyre, but Aria was content with Vision's company. As time went on, they'd come across a number of dragons, many of whom would join them on their journey. Eventually, their ranks grew enough that the pair decided to settle down once again and form a permanent clan. Today, Aria may not be an active mother, but she remains the proud matriarch of a clan produced through her welcoming spirit and love for her mate. Together, they've created Paridal Winds, a true force to be reckoned within the Reedcleft Ascent.
