Biography

~ FIRESTRIKE ~

FIRE REPRESENTATIVE

"Nothing is more majestic than fire, it can provide warmth or burn, it is both light and dark, benevolent and malevolent- just like me..."

ROLE ~
The Fire representative of the clan. As such Firestrike is tasked with bringing forth the best qualities of the Fire Flight and applying them to Crystalspire. He is also in charge of dealings and expeditions in Fire territory. He is the head metallurgist and a top-tier alchemist.

DESCRIPTION ~
Firestrike is an...interesting dragon. Born a Skydancer only to be transformed into a Coatl from his fiery passion. He lacks the distinctive humming language of the breed, instead speaking in fluent draconic. He has on occasion, been seen practicing with other Coatls trying to learn the language as best he can. Even so he's not a talkative sort, and when he does speak most would call it philosophical rambling. He'll start by asking deep, or strange questions and then asking more if one dares to reply. Aside from that he is fascinated by rare metals and likes collecting them, as well as testing their melting points. With his own elemental breath, of course.

HISTORY ~

Caller's Cognoscente

Firestrike’s origins are curious, to say the least. He originated from a far-off mixed clan residing in the Fire territory, the Sweltertalons. It was a diverse and energetic group that harbored many different ideologies. One of the most prominent being the importance of travel and discovery. This rang true to the fire dragon, who would end up leaving his clan in search of adventure. He eventually reached the Southern Icefield, a far cry from the Ashfall Waste. There he met the enigmatic tundra, Frostbite. He was looking for dragons for his new clan, including elemental representatives to help facilitate expeditions throughout the territories, as well as serve as a high council of sorts. Firestrike was intrigued by the proposition, and by the tundra himself, and accepted.

During the Bounty of the Elements Firestrike received worrying messages from his former clanmates about the tumultuous state of the region. Class upset was brewing and his former clan was to be thrust into it. He brought the news to Frostbite who allowed a special expedition to the Fire territory to better understand the situation. However, once Firestrike returned the tundra refused to partake in either side, let alone help his former clan. Frostbite argued they were dealing with their own problems, such as the return of the Gaolers, not that he even understood what they were still. Firestrike was deeply saddened by this news but, he knew his promise to the clan and his place within it and said no more about the matter.

During the Great Tension when Solstice returned from exile, Firestrike stayed neutral, refusing to back either party. When the guardian won he did ask how she felt about the Fire Flight's civil war. Unfortunately for him, she sneered and said the fire dragons could destroy themselves for all she cared. Clearly, he had struck a nerve and would get no help from either leader. Perhaps there are simply things one can only accomplish by yourself...

Firestrike has since collaborated with the fellow fire dragons of the clan, sending secret messages and support to his former clan, and those of his fellows. They have yet to be caught, though part of him suspects the unruly Queen wouldn't even care, as long as it wasn't her business nor did it interfere with clan business.

PYRO PARTNERS ~

Coalclaw the guardian bear. Helps tend to the forge as Firestrike flits about in excitement.

Magmubuke helps sort and catalog the various minerals and materials Firestrike has tested and studied.

Burnaria is Firestrike's first contact with the Flamecaller. Negotiating expeditions peacefully as possible. In more recent years Firestrike has had the goblin help him contact his former clan mates in secrecy.

Embercius, as an embodiment of Fire, typically assists Firestike in battle; or with any task needing Fire magic, like with testing various melting points and reactions to fire.

Blazely Scorchpaw a cordial manticore that supplies Firestrike with unique and rare materials known only to the Beastclans. In return Firestrike helps facilitate better relationships with his manticore clan and other neighboring dragon clans, using his silver tongue. Outside of work Blazely indulges in Firestrike's philosophical spiels. The two enjoy expanding each other's mental horizons, challenging their wits for hours on end.

Sparkien wards over any magical gemstones, as well as priceless Fire artifacts located within the bowels of the clan's hoard.

Virgios watches the stars, reading what the future holds and keeps an eye out for magical phenomena.

The Scaldcaller. The clan prides itself on its life-size and stunning ice carvings that guard the outskirts of the castle, but these deity statues are special. The reveal of the Obelisks and some sort of impending threat was most worrisome, in an attempt to preemptively combat this threat the most talented artisans and mages of the clan gathered together to create special statues, living statues. These statues would hopefully serve as powerful allies and wards against the troubled times ahead.

Igneite scampers about the castle grounds, acting as a mobile, mini forge should Firestrike need one. When not on duty he likes speaking with the slink, sharing new philosophical breakthroughs and ideas, and though the slink can't really answer back he does seem to understand the dragon, at least to some extent.

RELATIONSHIPS ~

Solstice [Queen]:
Firestrike appears just as ambivalent towards the Queen as he was to the King. He appears neutral but he isn't afraid to question her leadership. Though, he doesn't advocate for Frostbite's return to the throne either. If pressed he'd probably admit that neither ruler qualifies in his eyes, though of course, he'd dare not say such heresy aloud.

Frostbite [Founder]:
It is unknown what Firestrike's relationship with Frostbite is. The two seemed to get along, but some members swore they heard rumors that Firestrike was against Frostbite's authority. He neither admitted to nor denied these claims. He appeared to be a neutral party but still did his part; collecting, categorizing.
