Isea's lived on the Windswept Plateau a long time. She's raised hatchlings, seen some of them off to the Windsinger's service and some off to distant lands, and said goodbye to all three of her mates. She's had some good years and some happy memories, and she's always tried to live her life by the Windsinger's values - embracing joy and music and song.

But not travel. She's never really gotten around to travel. She's worked at inns and restaurants and taverns, serving the drinks and food, mopping the floors or tidying the rooms, and she's listened to countless stories of travel from dragons who came from all over Sorneith. Two of her mates had been Light dragons, though they couldn't have been more different otherwise, and she listened with fascination to their stories of the calm air, peaceful ruins, and gleaming marble of their homeland. She didn't know how a dragon ever learned to fly, when wind was out of the ordinary, but she did kind of want to find out.

She's worked all her life, and saved almost all of what she's earned. Maybe it's time to splurge a little and go see what it's like somewhere else.
