The Start of it All
Despite what others may say Afon and his sister Aeronwy were the result of real love. Many had sought after the affections of Cordula queen of the sea coast but it was the young blind soldier Alcimus who eventually won her heart over. Cordula's cold exterior eventually softened to the soldier. Alcimus dedicated himself to Cordula as her knight for many years. One day she admitted her love for her knight. The two were happy and eventually Cordula produced a clutch of two eggs. Cordula loved her clutch dearly and tended to them constantly. They eventually hatched and Cordula doted upon them even more. Aeronwy developed the same wanderlust that her father had when he was younger and eventually left. Afon stayed longer living on the mountainous coastline and loving the sea. |

To the Sea
Afon loved his mother who presided over the sea, but he loved the sea over which she watched even more. It was beautiful and every sunset was different. Sure the forest nearby was wonderful in its own rights but the sea was his true love. His mother taught him everything that she knew about the sea and the other spirits with which she held council. Afon learned things about his mother that his father never even knew. He learned of the sea she had lived in before she had become a spirit. Most of her life from then she could not remember but the memory of that sea was vivid in her mind even now. |
I love the beach. I love the sea. All my life I live within - in front of the sea.
