Yahir grew up alongside Idris in the frozen icefields. He always followed along with Idris, unquestionably loyal and loving. When she wished to start a new family on their own, he followed. When she wished to leave their icy homeland, he charted a path north. When Idris wanted to become a prominent member of their new clan, he supported her in every way.

Yahir has lived a long and happy life with Idris, but lived his own life as a diplomat. He is not a fighter and is much the opposite of the fiery Idris. He has lived his life smoothing over disputes and learning the ways of others.

When the call came for a light representative to be chosen, Yahir volunteered. Everyone was quite surprised- Yahir? Timid, quiet Yahir? The one who has always followed? An ice dragon of all creatures? He argued that his knowledge of other clans, especially light clans, was as great as any other yellow-eyed denizen given his considerable experience as a top advisor for Theila and a prominent figurehead for their clan. The clan decided to give him a chance as their representative- a chance he is determined not to spoil.

Although Yahir's heart belongs to Idris, he chose to make a political alliance with Nachtmerrie. She comes from similar beginnings as an ice dragon who migrated to lighter pastures, and her help has been instrumental in creating inroads for Yahir.
