Mate of Corinth
Corinth needed a friend since he was the only one in our clan at the time and she happened to wander into our lair and make herself at home. Time went on and I was able to name her along with my original tundra. They became close and eventually decided to make the commitment of being mates.
It was odd that such a gentle dragon would even be interested in her, it confused her and she wondered why. Niruth also wondered why she felt a strong enough connection to be with this dragon. Perhaps it was because they were the first in the lair before all the others. Maybe seeing the clan grow into what it is today helped forged that bond with each other. After spending so much time together she came to the conclusion of changing breeds.
Niruth discussed how she felt about the matter with Corinth, and as she talked he just smiled and went over to nuzzle his mate. She could feel the love and support from him and she made up her mind right there. Later that night she wandered off alone to the small lake near the lair and sat down to stare at her reflection. She didn't mind being a mirror dragon, but Niruth felt she would be happier being a tundra. Closing her eyes she made a silent prayer to the patron deity Windsinger.
Almost immediately her body went numb and yet she felt everything. Her bones shifted into different places, a pair of her eyes disappeared entirely, and fur sprouted all over. When the pain subsided she slowly opened her eyes to adjust to her surroundings and she saw herself in the water. Niruth smiled and immediately ran to tell Corinth.
After she transformed she was able to accompany Corinth to the market place to finally get wedding bands. They have matching gold necklaces and she also decided to get a wing cuff just because she thought it looked good on her. Corinth tried one on too but he decided against it. Maybe she'll surprise him with a gift one day.
Even though Corinth is the leader, Niruth is more than ok with taking on his role for him. She's usually the one making sure the clan is happy and everything goes smoothly. Any fights that break out between clan members is usually dealt with by her. Due to her size she's more than ok with getting in the middle of two dragons. Since her breed change she's a rather large tundra, even bigger than Corinth! Although her wingspan isnt as impressive as Mirroth's, her adopted younger sister. She's been looking after her ever since her egg was found and they forged a strong sisterly bond with one another.
