midnight is the retired founder of the clan; she originally created it with her mate, osadok, who was a guardian. she and him had two children, being kony, a plant-green tundra, and argent, a steel colored guardian.
eventually, she and osadok got dragged into war with rivaling shadow clans, leaving kony and argent to lead the clan on their own after barely reaching adulthood.
...despite how valiantly they fought, osadok was murdered.
was the war even worth it? no, not really.
broken hearted and weary, midnight went back home to find that her children had moved to the more calm environment of the viridian labyrinth. she was welcomed home with open wings, but...
after bearing the terrible news of osadok's death, she was forced to watch her son fall into rage-filled grief. he abandoned the clan, leaving for the starfall isles to serve as a member of the royal guard in another clan.
midnight retired formally and let kony continue leading the clan.
they went from place to place after a series of events, eventually finding themselves in the ashfall wasteland.
however, due to the harsh climate, and the fact they were losing the will to keep going, dragons began cutting ties with their friends and family in the clan, heading off to other places to find better life.
kony and midnight are currently the only ones left of a small, straggly group.
and even they might not stay together at this point...

midnight is getting on in her age. she might not have that much longer to live necessarily, and she can't bear to be separated from her daughter once again.
but at this point, she might have to. especially since kony is growing more distant as time goes on.
what will happen to midnight?
does she have a future?
will she have a future?
she's not sure.
so she'll just... have to wait and see.
