While Waverly is the clan leader, and Durren is her partner, Fairest is her confidant. The two became fast friends, if ever fairest could be known to have a friend other than her floracat. The relationship began when Waverly was helping a set of hatchlings find their callings in other lairs- one particular hatchling showed great promise in the art of healing and Fairest stepped forward and asked to take over her tutoring. She even named her, Grace. The day after Grace completed her training she was recruited and Waverly began seeking advice from the mage. Ironically, even though the two are close, Fairest is the one dragon Waverly hasn't tried to pair with a mate. Thus far she hasn't taken any interest in nesting, though secretly she is hoping to find someone to share her interests, and take flight with.
