11295.png 		Most landdwellers don't see much of Nereizza. Saba has the occasional fleeting encounter while fishing, and the crew of the Ne'erend whisper stories based on glimpses from the crow's nest, but her only true contact with the surface - and the clan - is Vyrdala.

The two met on the shore, both scavenging for beached odds and ends, and the mutual interest was instant. Nereizza despises the earth and Vyrdala loathes the water, but they have found a comfortable compromise in following the shoreline, one on foot and one afloat. Nereizza does not speak Draconic, though she bobs her head as if in understanding and listens well. And she is a very generous donor of freshly caught fish.

However, she insists (through vigorous head-shaking and sharp stares) that those meetings remain their secret. Outside of Vyrdala's company, she is nothing more than a seaside myth.

At least, Nereizza the Pearlcatcher is. There have been reports indicating the presence of something else lurking in the depths of the Southern waters, a leviathan just visible thanks to the luminescent runic patterns on its shadowy body. Ne'erend tales sing of a monster escaped from the Tidelord's Trench, preying on shipwrecks to swallow their treasures whole as nourishment - a riveting (if embellished) tale, but one partially supported by the uncanny tendency of pearls to disappear from the hands of their sunken sailors.
