The Voice of Lullabies

Moonstone is an insecure dragon. She was found injured in the wilderness by Neyula, claiming that a group of dragons had attacked her Plague clan, believing they were evil. Neyula brought Moonstone to her new home in Sokuna to heal her wounds, which mysteriously scarred over in the form of opal-like appearance. Moonstone didn't look like she was going to make it, but Neyula was greatly relieved when Moonstone recovered. When asked to describe the appearance of her attackers, Moonstone couldn't seem to remember what any of them looked like. All she knew is that her physical scars were a first world problem compared to the mental scars it caused her. She already felt like a disgusting mistake due to her vile element, but the attack only made her feel worse. Moonstone truly felt like an abomination whose only purpose in life was to poison and kill everything around her. She refused to ever use her element because of this. Anger and sadness filled Neyula's heart when she heard Moonstone's words and she requested that the Pearlcatcher stay in Sokuna. They would accept her here.





Moonstone's mental scars healed over time for the most part. To this day, she still cannot bare to ever use her element, but she's learned to accept different parts about herself and be kind to others. She's even met a mate named Orison, who so generously retrieved her pearl which she accidentally dropped in the ocean. She's even made some friends, including everyone in the Dreamer's Den and a Coatl named Azrone. Azrone seems to show much kindness and gentleness to Moonstone, yet some days he seems distant, as if he doesn't want to talk to her. Moonstone is confused by this behavior, but it seems to only comes in spurts. Perhaps he's been through similar trauma. She's quick to forgive her friend.





Moonstone got a special job in the Dreamer's Den when the local fortune teller, Gemini, heard Moonstone singing to the moon on the beach one day. When she approached Moonstone, the Pearlcatcher seemed embarrassed. She explained that she got her name because of her ritual she started since she was very young. She sings to the moon every night when it's full in order to calm and please the souls who have fallen to her element. It's a mournful ritual and Gemini told Moonstone not to bring it upon herself. It isn't her fault souls are fallen to pointless wars. However, when deciphering messages from the twinkling stars above, Gemini was able to tell Moonstone of a promising future she can use with her beautiful singing voice. Moonstone sings lullabies to those who wish to have dreams created for them by the mages of the Dreamer's Den. She's said to have the most beautiful voice in the clan and can calm anyone's anxieties and anger with her enchanting melodies and lyrics.
