5nrfc7.jpg Born a fae, Basswood became one of Baldwin's apprentices at an early age. He excelled at alchemy and soon became a worthy student. Unfortunately, he left Baldwin's teachings after a particularly unlucky accident. Baldwin's shed hair had somehow made it's way into one of Basswood's brews and caused a minor explosion that transformed the fae into a pearlcatcher.

Ever since that day Basswood has avoided all dragons who bare fur, hair, or feathers. He'd become reclusive, settling down in Iron Oak's caves to experiment and practice on his own. Strange lights and smells often drift out into the village, a sign of an alchemist hard at work.

Basswood has little experience with his new form, as emotions aren't a thing fae typically show. As a result, he can often come off as grumpy, rude, or blunt. Despite that, he means well and has a good heart. He's often teased for having a small pearl, as he's had to start on it so late in life. He keeps it hidden in a secret pocket in his coat. 		5nrfc7.jpg
