Zacharias grew up on the Southern Ice Floes and found he had a talent for diving from a young age. He could go seemingly impossible distances holding his breath down to where the great unknown species that dwelt between the immense icebergs lived.

When he grew older, he became a great warrior and used his diving skills to surprise the enemy and build up his endurance. At one point though, during Halloween actually, he made a huge decision, and that was to leave his clan and join the Clan of the Shifting Tides.

Roughly a year ago, a nervous young Nocturne dressed up as a rather spectacular macaw, named Ellaria, came to trick or treat at his former clan. Even though he could tell she was a little jumpy, Zacharias admired her bravery on coming alone and her wonderful costume. He'd been thinking about seeing more of the world and since he loved the water already, he decided a Water clan would be the perfect next chapter in his life.

Zacharias invited her into his lair, and they sat down to talk. After some discussion, he divined that she was from a very new clan with no warriors of his prowess or weaponry. There were 3 aspiring defenders, but the training was rough with no one to guide them. Zacharias then offered his service as a great warrior and diver, as well as permission to join Ellaria's clan for a short period of time. He knew he could help train the others to reach their potential.

Ellaria's eyes widened at his gift of his services, and she told him she'd return within 3 days after relaying the message to the clan matriarch, Leela. Leela and the other founders were honored by the proposal, and so Ellaria returned to take Zacharias with her to his new temporary home.

The thing is, Zacharias never left like he said he would. He fell in love with the new clan and decided to join permanently. Although he doesn't do much training anymore, he is a well-respected older member and many seek his counsel on matters of battle.
