A bit scatterbrained, but his penchant for friendliness and caring is something he's well-known for. He's also well-known for his habit of 'remodeling' the lair every time an experiment doesn't go quite right. He likes to have his space for science and concentration, but appreciates everyone in his clan. As the Clan Croisafall's alchemist, he's sought-after for his powerful potions, especially since their leader, Salvistar, often boasts to other clans that they have the best alchemist in all of Sorneith. In addition to health potions for their healers, he's also made his fair share of heart-healing potions to help the heartsick and heartbroken feel better. For him, alchemy is only half about the art of it--three parts science, two parts wishful thinking, and one part luck. And then, like, six parts art. (Hey, he's good at alchemy, not math.) His familiar, Alphonse, is his most trusted confidant and friend; he tells him anything and everything, and Alphonse assists him with his work as a born alchemist. His older brother, Telagoith, was separated from him once they were grown. Ealdaen found and became part of Clan Croisafall, but soon after, by pure chance, he joined Croisafall as well. Once it was apparent that his brother would become a warrior and he a scholar, a rift was borne between them. They have since reconciled. He wouldn't make it through the day more often than not without his mate Laurelyn. Literally; she's often the one making sure he only blows up small sections of the lair at a time, and is usually the one fetching him ingredients when he desperately needs something he forgot about. Laurelyn didn't become part of their clan until Ealdaen had been there for about a month, but upon her arrival, he was smitten. The jewelry she wears was made by him and presented very awkwardly; he was so nervous that he stuttered and shook the whole time presenting them. After taking her time studying him, she finally accepted his courting gifts. Ealdaen is best friends with an Nocturne named Gallow. They met when Gallow's clan requested some genes to be brewed up. Ealdaen, being the insistent Coatl that he is, managed to persuade Crosiafall's messenger service to allow him to delivery the goods personally. Upon arrival, he met the Nocturne and the rest is history. They visit each other often to share tea and stories. He enjoys making Gallow and his clan gifts with his alchemy skils. Recently Ealdaen and his mate adopted a daughter, Cantaloupe, from them. Ealdaen can be himself around Gallow without worrying about embarrassing himself, Gallow accepts him as the clumsy Coatl that he is.
