Love her or hate her, larger dragons who want to send mail have to employ Kayoat's services as both scribe for hire and mailwoman. Rumour has it that Kay keeps a secret hoard of gold she uses to bribe for safe passage, hence how she can deliver the second fastest message in the clan (beat out only by Acacia). For the low low price of a shiny or two, and the risk associated with her loose lips, Kayoat's services can be yours! Kayoat may have a couple more tricks up her sleeves when it comes to her journeys though... Like how she is able to come back with such valuable items...

Not many dragons are fond of her Scaleback familiar, who guards her lairspace and can only be calmed by Kay, who calls him "The cutest, grumpiest smiley ever." Dragons don't have much more luck dealing with her Death Seeker either, whom Kayoat has dubbed "Birby." More recently, Kay has acquired a Speckled Peacock Spider that gives some clanmates (especially Faes) the heeby jeebies. At this point, it might be safe to assume that Kayoat's menagerie exists in part to harass others.

Even more annoying to some, is how Kayoat is the number one source of gossip and news from outside the clan due to her travels, connections, and love for juicy rumor. Otherwise, they'd turn to Iris, a coatl courier with the tendency to mix up details.
