Biography

Tesai
Former Leader of the Dreaming Moon Clan
zrOqG3m.png
IZWTngH.png Many moons ago Tesai had left the clan to go serve the Arcanist. He felt the pull to his god and knew his clan would do fine without him. Aria's frills drooped despite her tone insisting he must do what was best for him. Departing, his clanmates said their goodbyes as he exited their lair for the last time. Tesai took one final look back, sniffing the air to remember by, and finally he was gone.

Arriving at the Observatory, Tesai was immediately assigned a job. Organizing the notes jotted down by the Arcanist was rough, but Tesai enjoyed it. He would occasionally get a glimpse of his pink god floating about, muttering while his assistants tried their best to transfer his words onto parchment.

Still, there were nights where Tesai missed lying asleep as Aria huddled closer to him for warmth within his fur. He couldn't abandon his position either. That would be a disgrace. He rid himself of those thoughts, continuing his day-to-day duties. Until one day he and a bunch of other dragons were called to the Arcanist. It was a rather large group, one which Tesai realized was formed of dragons once former clan leaders such as himself. The Arcanist hovered high above, all eyes falling on him as he bellowed out a speech. "I have decided to give each and every one of you a chance to return to your former clan. The other deities and I have thoroughly discussed this matter amongst ourselves and are all in agreement. You may choose to stay, that is your decision. For those wanting to leave, be aware your old clans may have left my territory and moved elsewhere. Nonetheless I wish you the best of luck on your journeys."

When the Arcanist finished speaking, the audience began chattering. Most were eager to return, among them being Tesai. He scrambled to get the papers filled out announcing his departure and within a few days he was allowed to leave the Observatory. Returning back to his clan's location, Tesai hoped they hadn't moved. Along the outskirts of the Starwood Strand he noticed a familiar figure in the distance. Rubble, the clan's border guardian, stood watch, his eyes scanning the horizon until they fell upon Tesai. The Snapper stomped the ground in an attempt to scare away the intruder. When that didn't work, Rubble was prepared to charge before Tesai called out to him. Rubble was astounded, neither in his lifetime or even his ancestors's had they witnessed what lay in front of him. Rubble smacked the earth again, calling out to the rest of the clan.

Several of the clan's fighters appeared, preparing to strike until they, too, were unable to comprehend what they were seeing. It wasn't long for Aria to appear, her head frills turning upward in shock. The remainder of the clan showed up to check what the fuss was about. Aria darted to Tesai, nuzzling against him as the entire clan gathered.

"The deities certainly are full of surprises," Dreamweaver said. "For even my abilities had not been able to predict this reunion."

Days passed as Tesai began to be reacquainted with his clan. He was introduced to old and new faces, fully content the clan managed to thrive without him.

While not resuming his former position as clan leader, Tesai had taken up practicing alchemy. With help from Baldwin, Tesai improved his skills to perfect his concoctions. He had been there to witness Baldwin's transformation into a Bogsneak. Wanting to mimic the result, Tesai worked every day to gather the necessary ingredients. Finally achieving the brew, Tesai had not noticed his fur had small specks of the green goop. The changes began happening once his beloved fur started to fall, shocking his clanmates. Baldwin had a good laugh, though.

No longer a Tundra, Tesai accepted his new life as a Bogsneak. At least he didn't have to worry about shedding every summer.
