Despite her small size, Thistledown has a large presence - bright, enthusiastic, with a passion for collecting knowledge. Her determination to communicate often helps win her friends of all dragon species, although her allies have learned they must be tolerant of her sometimes hasty judgement and her insistence that her way is usually the best way. Orphaned at a young age after the collapse of the Fae colony where she was raised as a foundling, Thistledown lived alone in the Everbloom Gardens for many years. Eventually she met Pampas, a wandering druid. With patience and understanding, he soon became Thistledown's close friend, to whom she was finally able to reveal her dream of building a school. Together they began the Evenrose clan, and started creating the foundations for the Evenrose Gardens School. As more dragons join the clan, Thistledown is determined to create a safe, lasting home for her newly found family. The Evenrose Gardens School Thistledown founded her school as a place to collect and hoard information about all of dragonkind. Though she was at first wary of inviting dragons of all Flights to join her school - with special suspicion reserved for Plague and Fire Flight - Thistledown has slowly come to see that each new teacher and student brings unique knowledge and history to the school. With the school's population growing, however, Thistledown finds much of her time taken up with the logistics of organizing such a large community. She often turns to Pampas for advice, and to the Guardian dragon Hyacinth, who manages many of the clan's resources. Now, Thistledown can often be found presiding over the school Council, which is made up of herself, and a representative from each of the elemental flights. The clan makes decisions not only for the school, but for the clan as a whole, finding the best ways to accommodate the needs of the diverse group of dragons living within the Evenrose clan. Family Though Thistledown considers herself too busy for romantic pursuits, she does understand the importance of growing the clan and producing heirs. She has mothered a number of hatchlings but considers every member of the Evenrose clan to be a part of her family. |
