Subspecies Name: Treasure Hunters
Species: Any
Colors: Caribbean-Aqua 1 & 2, Yellow Range 3
Genes: Ripple / Current / Filigree, Glimmer, Opal, Runes
Creator: SSakuras

Treasure Hunters come from all across the land to scour the Sea of a Thousand Currents for its hidden bounties. Lost artifacts from times long gone to great hoards of treasure lie in wait for those brave enough to seek a path to fortune, fame, and glory.

Among them are those who are born naturally gifted at seeking treasure, those gifted with the Glimmer or Filigree traits. They typically herald from long standing, richer families that have the funds to seek their fame and glory for fun, or maybe for upholding family pride or traditions. Those who claim the Opal or Runes traits hail from more humble beginnings, and must claw their way to the tops of the ladder of greatness for acknowledgement. These traits must be earned by proving one has the qualities of a true Treasure Hunter.

For example, the first dragon to earn her Runes began as just a simple clan leader looking to help her clan prosper, and thus went on a quest in search of treasure. After some trials and tribulations she came upon her first treasure trove, and with this discovery came a change upon her; a change that carved magic Runes upon her body to help boost her skills and give her an edge in her future hunts. She had proven her worth to by finding this hidden cache, and was given the honor of gaining the Runes gene.

Special dragons have the tertiary colors Goldenrod, Amber, Ivory, Gold, and Metals. The top two favored colors are Goldenrod and Gold, since they have the word gold in them (c'mon, what treasure hunter wouldn't feel blessed having gold in the coloring of their very bodies), with metals being the 3rd top since gold is a type of metal. These dragons are rumored be the best Treasure Hunters. They are usually in high demand: from private investors to museums, others hire these dragons to hunt down the rarest of items on their behalf.

WIP: The mother of the clan, Isolde looks after everyone and is very protective of the clan as a whole. She is kind and caring, but has no hesitation in fighting to protect those she loves. She is also not a pushover, and can be very stern when need be.

During her spare time she likes to go treasure hunting so she may help the clan grow and prosper. During her many outings she ran across an ancient, golden rune, which has forever placed its magical mark on her, giving her even greater abilities in her treasure hunting endeavors.

The healers that accompany the warriors into battle do their training within the clan headquarters with Isolde herself, the founder and "mother" of the clan. Isolde teaches using a mixture of books and hands on training, and it is a very long process. The young healers in training will first attend lectures and are assigned readings from some of history's best healers. Then the new healers must pass multiple written exams, proving they have learned and understand the concepts they have learned previously. Even if the hopeful future clean healer passes their tests, however, not all of them will move on to actually become a fully fledged healer. Only when Isolde feels they are ready will she begin the hands on training and taking her trainees to the clan's medical ward to have them witness the wounds and illnesses that one can incur while out on duty. She will begin by showing them first the techniques they have only read about until now, and after an even longer time of just watching will Isolde finally let the new healers become her apprentice and begin practicing their own healing skills. The amount of time a new healer must apprentice with Isolde varies from dragon to dragon, as healing is a very fine and meticulous art that should not be underestimated. A healer not properly trained could cause more damage than was originally there.
