The Seer
Has visions of the future It was all Tarot could see. Flickers of the future, showing her the lives of her friends and family, her Clanmates. All the routes which fate considers flash before her bad eye. The images wash out the reality she sees in her good eye; she is disturbingly distracted by the countless possibilities that reveal themselves to her. This caused her to lead an unbalanced life, half-focused as she is on the future to the point where she does not recognize what is happening around her, in the present. Often, she sees bits and pieces of another dragon’s personal life, and she shies away from these visions, not wanting to intrude. Occasionally, she sees something good for her Clan - a five-egg nest, a successful hunting trip, a peaceful alliance. She fears she will jinx the outcome if she speaks of it, and so she keeps quiet about these moments. Sometimes, however, she sees terrible things. And in these glimpses, she witnesses the end of her home, her Flight, even her world. She can never hold it back, and so she cries out, trying to warn her Clanmates. Nobody ever listens to her, and they think she is merely stirring drama for fun, because she has nothing better to do. Perhaps if had admitted to seeing visions from the very start, they wouldn’t have this issue; but for all that Tarot sees and understands, she does not know how to solve this problem. Tarot covers her bad eye with a scarf, for it is brutally scarred over, a part of her seer's curse. Sometimes, around others whom she doesn't know or when she feels uncomfortable, she covers both eyes with a scarf and pretends to be completely blind, if only to avoid being distracted from the future by the present. |
