Leguin is a collector of scientific works of possibly questionable moral standing and works of science fiction. She joined Matija in her mission to fill the Archives with tales, histories, and artifacts from all 11 lands on the agreement that she could set up a lab to preform experiments in the lair and accommodations for assistants to maintain her experiments while she was away. Her wandering path takes her through the lands of Shadw to the Wasteland and the Isles and back to Dragonhome. She brings back interesting, peculiar, and sometimes dangerous artifacts, but always studies them herself before submitting them to the Archives.

She is in the lair more than most of the collectors, running experiments and teaching her assistants new and interesting techniques. She has in her employ a fae apprentice native to the Isles originally who left her clan to join the snapper quite young, and an imperial alchemist. Nesting in her room as well in a small family of sparrowmice that occasionally join her on her treks, they wreak havoc in Ezi's garden, a constant point of contention between the two ladies.
