"Come back when I'm done. Or in a month. Whichever comes first."

If it weren’t for the eyes, you’d never be able to tell that Javax wasn’t a native to the Asfall Wastes. He takes great pride in the bright fiery colours that symbolize his origins, and that show that he is the specimen of health. After all, if he was anything less than in perfect condition, you couldn’t expect his work to be perfect either now, could you? Though, he does enjoy wearing dark colours to accentuate his brightness.

Of course, such perfection comes at a cost. Time. And lots of it. If he’s got a project, then you’ll find him squirreled away in his workshop, only disturbed by golems that bring him food and drink like clockwork. He can remain there for months at a time, uninterrupted by anything less than an emergency evacuation due to some catastrophic failure of an experiment.

Some find it surprising that he does fine detailing and embellishment on other the projects of other dragons. They claim he’s not making anything of his own. That he is limited by the canvas of others. He merely replies that others give him work. He turns it into art. And anyone who claims otherwise is not worthy of his time.

When he isn’t working, though, all of his pent up desire for companionship and entertainment bursts loose. He becomes the biggest party animal in the Clan, always causing such a ruckus and clamour that echoes throughout the lair – at least until some irritated Mith come and make it known, in their own inimitable fashion, to keep things down. And he does tone it down once it reaches that point… at least for a little while. Each time, though, seems to be as the very first… perhaps it’s the vast quantities of alcohol that he imbibes. He can outdrink most of the Imperials…

At his core, Javax is a fairly kind soul – as long as you don’t insult him, his profession or his work. He’ll gladly take time out of his day in order to explain why and how he did what he did, as long as you’re respectful about it. In fact, good luck getting him to stop talking…

His relationship with Scala is a bit of an odd one. They live by the (supposedly ancient) proverb “Love is best fed by borders”. The feeling behind it is that the longer one is apart from the one that they love, the better it will be when they are finally reunited.
