Botan is a devoted horticulturist who spends much of her time tending to the surrounding thorns in the lair. Originating from a plague lair, she has a vast knowledge of which plants are poisonous. She inspects all new plant life before it is consumed by her fellow clan members.

She has a strong friendship with Rosewood and Lechatelierite, and the three can often be found doing a little bit of gardening with the few available flora around the lair. Botan even has her own little batch of flowers that have been imported from various parts of the world. Unfortunately, not many of them can survive the Tangled Woods, but she tries her hardest regardless to keep them alive.

Her familiar is a rather active Wildwood Owl, who frequently sheds his leafy feathers. When this happens, Botan collects them and turns them into one of her favourite items, a Leafy Pack. Unfortunately for the other dragons, these Leafy Packs are empty and henceforth not of much interest unless they need one for storage purposes.

When Budsy arrived in the clan, she initially mistook him for someone out to cause harm to her flora patch. However, shortly after, she soon realised that he was just as mesmerized by flora as she was. It came as no surprise that just a few days later, the two confirmed that they were mates.

Botan's best friend has to be Bloom - she loves helping him pick only the best of flowers for his arrangements.
