boo was the first generation one dragon to join the lightfall clan (save kenta and spade, of course), and therefore feels as if he started the trend. however, despite his age, he has not known his charge very long. he naturally loves the swamp and spends much of his time visiting nature's land for the opportunity to happily wallow. he spent so much time in swampland that despite spending so much time in water, it was so murky he couldn't see his reflection. the first time he saw his reflection was when a nocturne accidentally dropped a mirror into the swamp he was napping in. upon turning it over, he felt an instant connection, and happily paraded his mirror around as his charge. one day, though, vodou was admiring his reflection in his mirror and dropped it. wailing in panic, boo dived for it, but it was too late - the glass shattered. but he didn't feel how he expected - he felt sad, but not as if the bond had snapped. confused, he asked spade how she feels around kenta, and was surprised to hear that she felt a constant bond with him. boo only felt bonded to the mirror when he looked into it. at that moment, he glanced down into a puddle and his heart swelled with love and the need to protect, and he realized his charge had never been the mirror - it had been his reflection. he has kept the shattered mirror as a keepsake, but is now extremely careful to never disturb a puddle or crack a mirror when he is looking into it for fear of ruining his reflection, even for a moment. some dragons have called him vain, but he can't help if his charge is his own reflection.
