The gifts of the Plaguebringer can manifest in more ways than one. Regina's particular talents lay not in the ability to cause cells to rupture and die, but instead, to proliferate - to kill through disregulation of the normal pathways of life.

This never satisfied her, however, as it was simply too easy. Regina's personality and desire for personal challenge conflicted with the ways of her birthlands, and so she left.

Never a warrior, she hired on a mercenary, Jack, to help her in her travels, seeking new knowledge with every stop. While she first found him to be a nuisance, time brought with it a strange fondness, and soon she found that he was always in her thoughts and her relationship with him blossomed beyond a professional one.

During this time she honed her abilities to make cells grow, learned to control it. The growths always came with problems of their own. In addition, she found she required the lifeforce of other creatures in order to generate order in her own creations, but it was worthwhile. She met a number of other dragons along the way, including the mysterious and handsome Dai, a dragon from Jack's past. For a wonderful time, the three remained together through their travels, until Dai was called away for reasons that were known only to him, though he left a promise that he would always find them again. It's a promise he has kept, much to the delight of Regina and her mate.

Rumors of her abilities began to spread. When they reached her homeland, they were not looked upon fondly. The resulting battle left Jack maimed and dying, until she used her abilities to regrow his lost limb and damaged organs, saving his life.

Knowing she could never go home again, she moved to the Shifting Expanse. She knew it to be a hub of scientific progress, and decided that here she would establish her lair, using her natural talents to tunnel out a refuge in the cliffs of the desert wastes. A pair of dragons looking for a home of their own following the death of their original leader, Ironmind and Augustus, found her by chance and settled in. Regina's decisive personality made her a natural leader, and so she found herself in a seat of power.

With that, the beginnings of a lair dedicated to the pursuit of the sciences was formed, spearheaded by Regina's interests in biological growth and development.

Personality: Calculating and commanding, though seemingly emotionally stunted to those she is not close to. To her mates, however, she is a gentle and loving figure, if somewhat insecure in herself. Her curiosity has been known to get the best of her, and her overwhelming need to fix other dragons has occasionally been problematic on a personal level.
Mate: Jack and Dai, who both share her heart equally, for very different reasons. She has been known to "borrow" other lovers that pass through the lair for the sake of her experimental curiosity.
Familiar: Apocrita, the Sparkling Stinger
