Name Origin: 香珠 - beads (Chinese). Individually, 香 (Xiang) means fragrance, incense; 珠 (zhu) means a pearl, a bead Clan Aubade’s mysterious pastel magician/priestess - darker than she seems, she deals with spirits and uses crystals and gemstones as her mediums. She loves incense a little too much. Her den, which is curtained off from the rest of the clan, holds lots of small bottles of herbs and potions, and is often filled with dry ice. She loves silks and floor pillows, but is most often found meditating seated on a large block of the purest obsidian, bathed in moonlight. Thanks to Rexi for the Regal Masque! Tarot frowns at the cards in front of her. She can feel strange energy rolling off her species sister across the table, and the cards can feel it too, inverted as they are. "There's darkness in your life," she says bluntly, tongue running across a fang. "The Devil brings tricks and traps and all sorts of nasty surprises, although if your bridge is anything to go by, you reaped profits from it."
The middle card is Temperance, upside down, and Tarot bites her lip on the significance of having two major arcana cards in one reading. "Your life has always been tumultuous, but now it is even more so. Even the elements themselves seem to roil around you, and nothing has rest, not even yourself. You've found a decline in your work and pleasure, your life feels like it's slowly grinding to a standstill while you can do nothing more than sit back and watch."
The Three of Swords, though, she pushes forward slightly with a claw. "But all hope is not lost. Keep your friends and family close, because they are the reason you will survive."
Her feathers rustle as she resettles her wings along her back. "The price for this reading is one Snarling Mimic. You may place it in my inbox as you leave."
