Raaxon wrote:
"But I'm weak. I heard you only looked for strong dragons to join your clan."
Iayu scoffed lightly. "You are bland, and your will is weak. In this you are correct. And yet, you were able to make it all the way here, through the Tangled Woods, through Shadow territory to make it to Tsunami Flats. Weak as you are, I don't think you're without talent."
To this day, Iorama wonders what Iayu saw in him. He was no less bland, but he was far stronger. After being exiled from his previous warrior-like clan for being weak of body and will, he wandered without food or water, trying to let the elements and wildlife of the Tangled Woods take him from this world. Instead, Iayu found him, and trained with him, and he has become one of the strongest and intelligent dragons of the clan.

What could he say to a clan that had been so kind, so welcoming to him? He didn't want to hurt their feelings, but he knew the time had come to move on. They had shown him so much, helped him to become even stronger, but he knew there was more, there had to be more.
In silence he slipped into the waves, easily disappearing into the dark, ocean depths. He knew the dangers that lurked there, but he was confident he could handle anything.
"No, no, you're doing it wrong."
At the sudden voice, Iorama stopped. There were other dragons nearby.
"But the goal is to defeat the enemy and keep the young safe."
"Defeat, yes, completely kill, no," the first voice said, "Permafrost would reward us handsomely if we brought back a live Wave Sweeper for him. Just go bind the kid's wounds and I'll see what I can scavenge here."
"I can help heal him," Iorama said, not thinking as he shifted his wings, propelling himself closer to the two, heavily armored Nocturnes.
"Who are you?" the golden armored one said, "besides being a nature Fae."
Iorama could tell that this one was starting to posture and, as he drew closer, could tell why. Though why a fire aligned dragon would be fighting in the water, knowing how weak he was to it, he couldn't understand. But, what he did know was that if he had any fire aligned attacks . . . it wouldn't be good for the little Fae.
"My name is Iorama and I am just passing though," he said as he moved over and, gathering the energies, cast regeneration on the injured young dragon.
"Permafrost might want to know about him," the other Nocturne said, "you know he's looking for a few good healers and, well . . . Jewelman is ok but I don't think I'd want him in our party."
The fire Nocturne nodded. "My name is Vulcan and my battle partner is Aisoyimstan. When we are done here, please come with us back to our lair. I'm sure Permafrost will find a permanent place for you in our ranks."
Iorama nodded, smiling a bit as he finished his work. "I would like that," he said, dipping his head toward the two Nocturnes.
How could he be so lucky to find two lairs that were so willing to take him in? He didn't want to question it and so he followed the trio of dragons back to their lair, eager to meet Permafrost, hoping he could make a good impression on him, no matter what breed of dragon he was.
