Biography

Battered Book of Fables Haunted Stone Orb Black Swan
Member of the Glass Order
Long ago, there lived a priest who prayed to the winds.

The winds - the very winds he prayed to - carried the priest to a brighter land, where he would then stand as he did before and pray to the light.

Though the priest was stoic, he also held a kindly aura about him, and those who would pray to the light along with him found that he was indeed pleasant to be around. Yet no matter how much he was asked to do something else, the priest never abandoned his duties.

Praying to the light was one of these duties; he had more than just one. Devising sacred rituals and transcribing ancient texts of those who were there before, the priest was always busy. And never, not once, did he seem to mind.

One day, the priest’s research brought him to what he believed to be an area containing long-unused ritual grounds. If that was true, it would also have meant that he could perhaps take over those grounds, carrying on the work of those who had once stood there.

Alas, things were not as they seemed.

They rarely are. Else nothing would happen.

The priest found this out soon enough: the area he had chosen was one of darkness, of shadows, of malicious energies devouring the spirit of any explorer foolish enough to discover them.

And so the priest stood there, as the shadows buried him under the darkness, and prayed to the light.

And he waited.

And he waited.

Whether the band of dragons that had looked after the priest had come too late was not clear to anyone. He was changed, yes, but whatever cruel force had assaulted his soul could not overtake it.

Enter Libra: a dragon who, after a foolish venture into the Hewn City, now embodies both light and darkness. He speaks of radiance yet wields the shadows, a gruesome caricature of what he once was. Even so, no dragon will deny that his devotion is as great as it always was.

And now, still, he prays.
