______ August was born out of May's desire to have an heir to her leadership. His father, Larkspur, never acknowledged his own son's existence and wound up leaving the clan some time later and ended up serving the Lightweaver. August was mostly ignored by his mother, who still claimed she loved him dearly. He often felt ignored by those in leadership positions in the clan and wound up isolating himself quite often.

______ Sienna, one of the clan's other young dragons at the time, often checked on him and wound up befriending August. The two became close and had some hatchlings together, but most were banished by May. The only one permitted to stay was one of the older ones, Dorian. With Sienna by his side, he always showed Dorian the care and love that he never recieved.

Sienna wound up with another clutch and ended up leaving in the middle of the night, carrying the eggs with her to prevent them from being stolen again. After seeing her note of apology, August understood the grief she was going through. This had been happening with several nests and he was more than willing to join Phthalo's fight to stop his mother. The shift of power was successful and August can now rest with peace of mind that all future nests will be safe in the Clan of the Wandering Stars.
