Xuán Yì was considered quite a beauty from the moment of her hatching. From her smooth jade hide to her elegant neck and long, graceful wings, she has every right to be quite vain and prideful in her appearance.

Which, yes, she is, but there are other things she finds more important than that. Good looks fade with time, and few can be known forever for the beauty of their youth. So it's a good thing, to her, that she's also smart, as she'd hate to have to become well-known for her fighting prowess instead. Too much fighting mars the looks quickly!

Her main goal in life is to be chosen to work with Stormcatcher directly, so she works hard to that end. Currently she is trying to figure out why dragons can be changed into different types of dragon. It surely cannot just be magic! There must be a scientific explanation...

She has known Yú Jìn since she was little. In fact, when they first met, she thought that because of his tiny size, surely he was no dragon! And so, she tried to adopt him as her familiar. Over time, she did eventually agree with his self-assessment of dragonhood. And when she grew up and decided to leave her parents' nomadic clan to found her own, he came with her.

By that point, she had fallen quite hard for him, and indeed only has eyes for him. Though she's a shameless flirt -part of her somewhat blunt and honest demeanour-, when it's time to be serious about feelings, Xuán Yì will readily admit that while other dragons are certainly pleasing to look at, no one quite makes her heart flutter like her Fae mate.

As far as the clan goes, her primary concern is that all members be interested in science and willing to pull their weight around the clan. She doesn't care if you don't want to work on her experiments -truth be told, if you're rubbish at following direction she'd rather you not- but no one who thinks science is a waste of time is anyone she wants to live with.

Other rules she has instituted include keeping all common areas tidy and no explosions within 25 metres of the main lair.
