Eser

Eser is Nehir's handmaiden. She is very proud of her heritage; her maternal grandmother was a court Imperial, and Eser has inherited a short pair of antlers which she adorns prominently. Her prestigious bloodline played a role in her assignment as the Empress's personal servant, which places her in charge of Nehir's entire retinue (apart from the Veiled Guard, which takes orders from Heron alone).

Unfortunately Eser is conceited, with ambitions that exceed her rank. She has a tendency to put on airs when dealing with servants lower in the hierarchy, which includes most palace dragons, and her self-importance regarding her ancestry places her in a frustrating position. Though a valued and high-ranking servant, she is still a servant. But perhaps that can change. Quiet on her feet, and capable of great subtlety, even the most careful observer will not observe Eser's private comings and goings in disused portions of the palace, where she meets to plot with Veridoun in secret...
