Atherton
Chillfrist Clan
Speaker of the Light
(Religious Leader and Scholar)

"Life is a trail for each of us. The goal is to find out what you are truly meant for."

Atherton does not spend her days stalking creatures in the great wilds, flitting about aimlessly amongst icy spires, or stirring up ancient rivalries. She instead delves into dusty worn tablets, conferring at length with other priestesses, contemplating and praying to her deity, and guiding the religious in her Clan. She struggles to understand why her clan was exiled and why Lightweaver turned her back on her, and she tries to reconcile her faith with her reality. Her very foundation was shaken. Despite her deep troubles, she is very well respected in the Clan for her honesty, kindness, and her great knowledge in a wide variety of subjects. Unlike most Spiral, she is studious and patient, quiet and mysterious. She has covered her body in tattoos of ancient religious messages passed down from the early beginnings of dragonkind.

Her purpose was shown to her at a young age, when Beastclan foes were hunting down innocent nests of young dragons. While still a tiny wiggly hatchling, her and her siblings were singing to each other, accidentally luring the murder party ever closer. While both parents were off hunting and their babysitter sleeping on a nearby rock on a cloudy day, the entire nest might have been killed, if not for what is dubbed a miracle. Right before the attack was to commence, the skies opened up to a light brighter than has been seen in a decade, shining down on that nest and babysitter. The brightness woke the massive Guardian and temporarily blinded the foe. With a mighty roar, the Guardian sprang to the defense of the hatchlings, saving their lives.

To this day, Atherton believes it was direct intervening of Lightweaver herself, saving her and her nestmates from sure doom. It has shaped her life, and while she loves her Clan and would do anything for them, her highest allegiance had been to her Goddess. How, she questions this. She will forever be in debt to Lightweaver, and searches for answers to why she had to leave her Goddess's good graces. She has made an olive branch to priestesses in her new home though, respecting Icewarden and making offerings to him, thanking him for allowing them to stay.
