While some mates can find time to care for their own eggs, others are busy with their work and need someone else to watch their clutch. That's where Sunburst comes in. She makes sure each egg is maintaining a fair temperature for the development of the hatchling inside and alerts the parents- via Scout, her familiar- should it appear that they will begin to hatch. Afterwards, the hatchlings may go into the hands of Ember, the babysitter of the clan, but sometimes one may imprint with Sunburst better and she watches them instead.
