He has a very high standard and doesn't take cheap for an answer. Everything he does has to be of high standards. He was raised with in 'high society' class of dragons or so he thinks. He hold himself to very strict social rules. He often gives the cold shoulder to those he thinks are unworthy. But once you enter his radar of friends you are a part of it for life.

Though most think he is stuck up due to how he carries himself he is very much the opposite. He cares a lot about those he calls friends and family but will be very standoffish and rude towards dragons that he doesn't know and invade his space. Which is sometimes a problem since new dragons that join the lair have a hard time getting close to Magnus.

He is very protective of friends in the social aspect of the word. He always makes sure to speak highly of everyone in the lair especially his children.

All the dragons in the lair always tease him when his familiar occasionally throws daisy petals around him to keep up his 'untouchable' demeanor.

He grew up in a very classy lair where if you made one wrong move that seemed to demean a dragon's reputation you were punished for it. He learned real fast not over step those boundaries. Though secretly he loved to find the dirtiest spot in the lair and roll around in it.

Most of the dragons his age did not take well with him and for the longest time didn't understand why. Soon though he realized that most thought that he saw himself as greater then them when in truth all he wanted was to fit in. Even though he stood out he didn't try to ever change himself.

Though soon he felt the weight of his home lair become too heavy for him so he left. After he left and traveled for some time he could not seem to find himself a lair where he felt comfortable enough to be himself in without scrutiny. That was until he met Skyler who introduced him to Apollo. At first Magnus scoffed the idea of staying with them but as time passed found it harder to leave. These group of dragons seem to take him in instantly with no berating or glaring or shunning.

Magnus by default become the fourth dragon to join the lair. And soon after while he 'helped' the gathering party gather items and food for the day he came across an odd site. He looked into the water and the water stared back at him, its eyes shining green. It replicated his head movements and soon realized he was interacting with a River Muck. He turned away with the intention of leaving but the beast refused to let him go alone. Skyler found it kind of cute that the beast decided Magnus was a friend. And for a long time Magnus ignored the Muck trying every so often to scare it away only to have it latch onto his leg in retaliation. Soon after He accepted the beast as his familiar and was utterly smitten with it and always kept it around even though it scared off visiting dragons.
