Lair Guard and Fighter, former mate of the Leader

Strong and Fierce, Sequoia fell in love with Delilah the moment he met her. He knew that she had formerly been a Fae and understood part of her personality would still be that fluttery fast-paced race. When her first mate, a mate of convenience, found another, Sequoia was there to win her heart.

Delilah & Sequoia set out to establish a great lair, Tracker and his new mate stayed to be guards. Her goal for the Clan was to become as dedicated to the Gladekeeper as possible and to build a sanctuary for dragons seeking to be closer to nature. Her mixed Spiral/Fae personality made her perfect for planning great things and gave her the energy to accomplish much. But the downside was her disorganized manner. She would repeat many tasks unnecessarily and forget to do others. Sequoia tried hard to be the organizing force in her life. He tried to support and guide her, but his dream of being a protector and a guard for this lair he loved so much fell by the wayside while he was so busy taking care of Delilah.

He also didn't have the same ideas for raising hatchlings as she did. She would mother them and rear them gently. This rubbed his scales the wrong way. Hatchlings need a firm claw! Help them to grow up strong and fierce! Because of his differing feelings, he avoided the nest as much as he could and encouraged his hatchlings to move on as soon as they were able. This caused resentment to grow between him and Delilah. After a time, he decided to scatter the nest. For a while, he shared a nest with a pretty Spiral name Orva, until she felt her call to serve the Gladekeeper. He recently established a new nest with a young Pearlcatcher named Lambertiana, who feels as he does, that hatchlings should be raised as strong fighters. Their hatchlings often look like snow covered trees and can blend well into the forested land. This makes them excellent ambush fighters and guards. Delilah moved on to a new Spiral named Steffan. Sequoia sees him as a bit of a wimp but knows that Steffan's personality is more what Delilah needs and he wants her to be happy. That doesn't mean he will ever be close friends with him, but he understands.

Sequoia and Lambertiana raise their hatchlings to be strong fighters and guards... with their ability to blend into treetops they are the perfect dragons to remain unseen by intruders until it's too late to retreat. Sequoia glories at fighting in the coliseum and enjoys helping younger dragons learn the fighting skills they need to go on to serve the Glademother.
