Biography
"Come now, it's not so bad. See? Auntie can fix this, too." - Chrysoberyl
What do you call someone who can mend a fence, take down a wall, rebuild a bridge and knit a sweater with bare claw while blindfolded?
Auntie Chrysoberyl.
While so many other dragons are flitting about like unwatched hatchlings to do or to find or to make whatever mess they intend to make, some prefer to enjoy the shade, to watch and wait for the skinned hides and little misunderstandings that make the world go 'round.
Auntie, for isn't she just that to the entire lair? She prefers it over her given name, and when she's not trying to learn a new way to cook an old beast, she's fixing whatever little messes the hatchlings [of all ages] have managed to make amongst themselves.
To that end, she's learned a lot of little ways to fix things. Sometimes with heat and hammer, sometimes with careful claw work and lots of sticky sap. Sometimes with a baked treat and a kind word. And only very rarely with an admonishment or disappointed scowl.
So the next time you accidentally split a seam on your sackdoll, or dent a piece of your older sibling's favorite tail guard? Remember that Auntie is there to make things better. She does her best so that you can too.
