A transplant from an allied clan in Nature, Obadiah has been with the clan since almost the start. Born only a day apart from Nike, the two grew up together, there is no dragon Obadiah knows better then her. His half sister, Procella, is also a transplant member to the clan. Though the two have little to do with each other. Procella having joined the clan as an adult, whereas Obadiah was raised in the clan, side by side with the founders' daughter.

Obadiah is a calm, but intense dragon. He enjoys puzzles and reading. Some of his favorite books are thick magic tomes. But Obadiah's favorite activity is reading aloud to an audience. Typically he can be found most evenings either reading bedtime tales to the clan's hatchlings or reading aloud to Nike after a particularly stressful day. Because of Obadiah's generally calmer nature, he is the perfect partner for Nike. The two worked wonderfully as battle partners along with Mire. With Nike being the aggressive fighter, Mire being the quick stepping shock hitter and Obadiah backing them up as a support mage and healer. Obadiah took his position as battle medic extremely seriously, matching Nike and Mire's ferocity with his own intense focus.

On the retirement of the clan founders, Obadiah was given the title of Clan Leader, sharing the position with both Nike and Mire. As the second clan leader, Obadiah works to balance out Nike's frustration at being trapped in their duty. Obadiah sees things simply, whereas Nike will get herself worked up in the complexities of a problem, Obadiah sees directly to the heart of a confrontation. Between the two of them, Nike and Obadiah handle the majority of the clan's problems. Mire only acting as a swing vote or outside council on the rare times that the two cannot agree.
