We saw each other that day,
we knew we were meant to be.
We were lost,
we had no home.
We were packed with others,
seeking a lair or clan to call home.

Some were taken,
We watched as they were brought away.
Who knew what would happen to them,
What were their fate?
What were their names?

We only heard stories,
of young hatchlings bought to serve gods not of their own.
Would we meet the same fate?

I didn't know her name,
she had none.
She didn't know my name,
for I had none.

We could only watch each other in silence,
Occasionally growling and gentle touches,
reassuring that we would be fine.
We never knew what was out fate to come,
would we be separated?
That would be a harsh world to live,
if my love was torn from me.
It was only when we were stumbled upon,
then was we taken to a home.
Would we be sent away?
Would this be a false home to live out our lives?
We hadn't know,
but we kept each other close.

Our new queen said nothing,
she kept us as we were.
The others treated us as family,
it was welcoming.

Our queen came to us not too long after,
she looked at me.
Her voice was strong as she spoke,
she spoke of my name.
My name that I would now carry.
I had an identity when my parents gave me none.

I knew now that this would be my home.
That my love would not part from me.
I will fight,
my loyalty will not die,
as I pledged myself to the light,
under the watch of my queen.

The earth would still be my friend,
but the light is one that I would serve now.
Black and white, they cannot be a part, like her and I. I love her so
