Cernunnos
Messenger
Even though it's pretty quiet around the clan most of the time - because usually there is no such thing as a fight within it - you surely need a Messenger to communicate with other clans in the surrounding world. Because sometimes it is not easy for a dragon to leave a clan and join another. Other times, there simply are some troubles with closer clans regarding lair space and hunting grounds. Cernunnos' job is to communicate with the involved parties so all existing problems will bei solved as soon as possible. Cernunnos indeed is perfect for this job because of his kind and caring nature and the ability to negotiate in favor of all parties. On the other hand he is required to leave his clan's lair often and sometimes even for a long time - which is no problem for him for he really likes to travel. But sometimes he really misses his friends at home. Successful diplomacy is an alignment of objectives and means. Cernunnos was very young when he left the clan he was born in. He didn't leave it because he didn't like it but somehow he just felt that he didn't quite belong there. His instinct told him to move further to the West, away from the Nature Domain and further to the actual Dragonhome. After observing Andraste during her hunting class, he was fascinated with the relationships within the clan and how much respect everyone paid to each other. He wanted to join it and so he even prepared a speech, naming lots of advantages the clan would have if he joined it. But Ladon wasn't as hard to convince as he thought - even without the speech it wouldn't have been a problem to join the clan. But the speech prooved how useful he'd be for future events and soon he became the messenger of the clan - but not before wrapping Andraste around his little claw.
